Welcome to the Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Juniors Organization, where young dog enthusiasts begin their exciting journey into the world of canine sportsmanship.
Whether you’ve been around them your whole life, or just discovered your passion for dogs, the Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Juniors Organization invites children ages 9-18 to join a community where friendship, companionship, and skill allow any child to shine!
The Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Juniors Organization has a wide range of dog sports and activities to participate in.
Performance Events such as FastCAT, Scent Work, Herding, and Hunt Tests, as well as Companion Events like Agility, Obedience, Rally, and Tracking all allow for owners and dogs to showcase their skills and achieve competitive milestones together. While Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Family Dog titling opportunities, such as Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Trick Dog, emphasize the bond that forms between a well-trained dog and its owner.
Next, request your Junior Handling Number, essential for competing in Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Events, determining eligibility, and recognizing earned titles. With your number, accumulate points in the Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Junior Recognition Program, which acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of junior handlers in various dog sports. Include the Junior Number on all entries and applications.
Your next step is to get started in training classes. This can be achieved by connecting with a local Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Club or your local dog training facility offering courses in your chosen sport. Use Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Club Search to connect with a club, as many have classes for Junior Handlers and a Junior Coordinator for additional support and advice. Get started by reaching out to the contact info listed with your prospective Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Club.
Start by observing a local Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± event to understand the sport better, meet fellow Juniors, and engage in club activities to gain hands-on experience. One you’re ready to compete, regular practice and feedback from experienced handlers will help you improve — and events is where that all begins! Build a strong bond with your dog and enjoy the journey as you progress in your chosen sport.
